Sometimes our words and our manner of talking can be hard and ugly when we should speak a wise word at an opportune time, giving a thought that will build up someone who needs that edification at that moment. That person may need even more—a big smile that gives encouragement.
When you see someone who is sad or worried, try to wisely help the best you can. If you feel you are incapable of helping the person, pray that the person will be restored to the joy of his or her salvation and sincerely pray that contentment and joy will return to that person. I assure you that such a prayer will be answered.
Let us speak wise words—words that edify and not words that destroy.
Let us always help out our neighbor.

Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.
