The first part of this month I was invited to a town in the state of San Luis Potosí. What a surprise to arrive there and find that the majority of the people were barefoot and besides that, they spoke the Náhuatl language.
Entering the house where I would be staying was another surprise. I would be sleeping on the floor because beds aren’t used much there. I saw so much need in the material sense there, but in the spiritual side, they are rich. I was thrilled to learn that about half the people in Jalapilla are saved and follow Jesus. On the other hand, we have much in the way of material blessings, but spiritually we have little—we are poor.
Let us seek God and be thankful for the privilege to be in His presence even though we have little in the way of material blessings. Let’s not be worried about what we will wear or what we will eat. Let us feed on the Word of God and remain strong in Him.

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
