A reason for everything,
Most I don’t see.
But God has my life,
Mapped out for me.
He holds my future,
In the palm of His hand.
And He pilots my journey,
On the wings of the wind.
As in the days of Moses,
The cloud, the pillar of fire.
I will follow His leading,
With passionate desire.
Fear and rejection,
So many failures untold.
The truth of the moment,
Makes my heart cold.
Just when I feel,
He’s forgotten me.
He renews my spirit,
And reminds I’m free.
I don’t live in bondage,
Of wealth or fame.
I live in the presence,
Of His holy name.
So where am I going,
What shall I do?
Just following Jesus,
Like we all ought to do!
A reason for everything,
Most we don’t see.
But God has our lives,
Mapped out for you… and for me.
