How Would it Feel?
Another mass shooting yesterday killing four teenagers who were at a birthday party. How would it feel if you were one of those children’s mother or father? I know how I would feel. I would feel terrible, and I would be on a path to do something about it. The problem is that we have suddenly become used to the idea of people being shot and killed. How can we ever accept such a thing. As a parent, brother or sister it would change your life forever and we would never, ever have peace in our hearts again. But what about how God feels?
God absolutely hates violence and especially the murderous behavior of shooting one another and especially teenagers. Without ever having the opportunity to grow up and see what life they would have matured to. Really their lives are ruined before they are started. The hostility and stupidity of youth is killing people every day across this beautiful country of ours. Perhaps take a moment, kneel by a chair or your sofa and ask God to show you the way to live and what is important to Him. You will be surprised. God loves you!!!
17 The word of the LORD came to me: 18 “Son of man, tremble as you eat your food, and shudder in fear as you drink your water. 19 Say to the people of the land: ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says about those living in Jerusalem and in the land of Israel: They will eat their food in anxiety and drink their water in despair, for their land will be stripped of everything in it because of the violence of all who live there. 20 The inhabited towns will be laid waste and the land will be desolate. Then you will know that I am the LORD. ’” -Ezekiel 12:17-20
