There are many, many mass shootings going on daily all over the United States of America! Every day people are being shot and killed or wounded. Saturday in rural Wisconsin two police were shot and killed at a traffic stop in Northeastern Wisconsin. One man and one-woman officer from two small towns did not go home last night. They were great officers and people.
In Louisville, KY five people were shot and killed this morning. I live just on the north end of Minneapolis, and it seems like there are shootings every night where people are being shot and killed. I thought I heard that there were seventy mass shootings in Chicago in the first three months of this year. Obviously, this is not acceptable by any normal person’s standards. So what do we do?
Get on your knees and pray. Ask God what you can do. If you live in another area that’s okay , pray for safety in your area. The God that I know does not approve of such violent behavior and it is not going to stop unless the public calls upon God for help.
1 Listen to my words, LORD, consider my lament. 2 Hear my cry for help, my King and my God, for to you I pray. 3 In the morning, LORD, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly. 4 For you are not a God who is pleased with wickedness; with you, evil people are not welcome. -Psalms 5:1-4
