Dan Adler, a longtime friend of Ruby’s Pantry, started a special music ministry in an old milk factory in Anoka, Minnesota and called it Heart of the City’s “Music Factory!” I was there on Sunday night to hear Fernando Ortega who had a wonderful concert. Although they sell tickets for their events the prices are normally very affordable for most people and they do a great job. The thought occurred to me that perhaps there should be more of these places across the United States. We spend lots of money for all kinds of other things, why not spend some on our spiritual well-being and have events that lead people to Christ? We are more than happy to lay out ideas for you to place an organization like this in your community. By the way, it only seats 100 people .
When they started out they were donated chairs that were a little too big and they traded them for some regular chairs. They were also donated a complete very large sound system that they were able to use and trade some of it for sound things they really needed. God always has a way to lead people to success.
By the way, they are on the third floor of this old, old building with no elevator. And they held three concerts on Thursday, Friday and Saturday that were all sold out. When you do things right it always works out when we walk in God’s plan. Remember, it’s not about how well you walk but rather where you walk.
This is what the LORD says: “Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls. -Jeremiah 6:16
