In search of Peace

In search of Peace

I got up this morning and went to the YMCA at 6:15 AM to do some walking in the swimming pool. The pool here has a walking track built into it and I like to go there in the mornings and walk for about 40 minutes. Exercise is good for me; I find it very peaceful and a great way to start my day.

Most people look for ways to find peaceful times in each day. How do you find peace? If we don’t have a way to find peaceful moments, we find ourselves starving for peace. In the Christian world people find peace by spending time each day reading the scriptures and praying. It is amazing how beneficial it is to read the words of God and talk to Him. Some say He doesn’t answer. That is totally wrong. God always answers prayers but in His own way which may not be what we thought we needed. God knows all things and He answers prayer based on what is best for us. And He always brings peace.

“Submit to God and be at peace with him; in this way prosperity will come to you. 22 Accept instruction from his mouth and lay up his words in your heart. -Job 22:21-22
