Monday Morning Pastor’s Letter: April 15, 2002

Good Morning Pastor!

The good news today is that there is still time to win the lost in your community! God has given you more time and many, but not all, of the lost are still living and have time to repent and come a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ! In other words, God’s not done with you yet!

I know there are times that every pastor feels like quitting. I have been there and at times I have quit. Looking back however, on at least two occasions I feel like resigning from my church was not the answer. Why? Because God’s work wasn’t done yet or at least the part he wanted me to do.

So, if you are considering leaving your ministry, you will probably ask yourself the question, “Is my work here done?” But then you would have asked the wrong question. The real question is, “Is the Lord’s work here done?” or “Am I finished with the work the Lord has for me here?”

Too often we forget that the ministry is not about our work but the Lord’s work!

May the God of Peace, who never forgets those whom He has called, bless you and sustain you this day and throughout the week may He renew your spirit and your strength to carry on His ministry! Amen!

In His Delight,

Lyn Sahr
