Good Morning Pastor!
The sun rose this morning like it does every Monday morning. It gathers itself to brighten the land and each of our lives. But we have a choice. We can bask in the sun or we can protect ourselves from it and remain untouched by the warmth of its rays. So it is with God’s love.
On Mondays many pastors really need the warmth of the Sonshine. I encourage you today, do not hide from God’s love. Let Him pour it on you. In fact, why not just say, “Come on God! Bring it on! Love me a bunch today. I’ll take all the love you will give me!” It may be Monday but it doesn’t have to be “Mournday!”
We are reminded today that we have come beyond the expression of “rumors of wars.” Wars really exist around the world and in critical historical Biblical locations. It may be a good time to dust off the commentaries on the end times and preach God’s Word in regard to these matters. It is easy for us to preach Christmas and Easter sermons but the second coming of Christ is not preached often and many Christians don’t even know that Jesus is coming back again! Just something to ponder…
Remember, you’ve got the greatest job in the world! What could be better than telling people about Jesus each and every Sunday, teaching them the Good News and ministering to their families during times of crisis. But it is the worst job in the world if you try to do it alone!
In His Delight,
